TOA is a robot that resembles an arcade claw machine. It uses a gantry system with stepper motors and conveyor belts that move the claw around, and it uses a servo motor to open and close the claw. We haven’t really started testing yet, as the wires we have for connecting the stepper motors to the breadboard need to be way longer.
The picture below is the CAD for TOA. The main differences between our current prototype and the final product is that the final product will be twice as tall, with acrylic walls instead of wood. There is also a separate area where the objects picked up by the claw will be dropped.

The only thing left that needs to be modeled is a bottom box where the breadboard, as well as the joystick and button, will reside in. According to my colleague, modeling this shouldn’t be too complicated of a process, but we are holding it off until we test all of our electrical components. Stay tuned for updates! :)
